Manager of Cost Accounting
- A
multi-billion dollar service company is looking for a
Finance Manager of Cost Accounting.
A salary up to 90K + bonus is available for
supervising cost accountants engaged in maintaining
the company’s cost systems and assuring timeliness and
accuracy of cost journal entries.
Duties
and responsibilities include:
coordinate and monitor all activities
associated with maintaining the cost systems and the
costs in the Finance Data Center, ensure
accurate and timely reporting of all related cost
results, ensure the accuracy of journal entries and
coding, compile data for the preparation and analyses of
costs, plan the operations for the cost group and ensure
the achievement of goals and objectives either directly
or through subordinate staff, develop, coach and mentor
subordinate staff, conduct performance evaluations,
recommend salary adjustments, schedule and approve
overtime, take disciplinary action, as necessary,
develop, interpret and ensure the consistent application
of organization policies, handle unusual or difficult
inquiries/situations through direct personal action or
refer to the appropriate individual, work with the field
controllers to distribute and understand costs, utilize
Six Sigma techniques to evaluate/improve processes,
provide “hands on” involvement with any system
implementations (order to cash/ICM) and ensure
compliance with company policies and GAAP for the
related area.

Senior Tax Accountant
The primary responsibilities are to assist in
the preparation of tax-related documentation
at the Corporate headquarters.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
Preparing and reviewing State and Federal
income tax filings
Prepares and review monthly, quarterly and
annual sales and property tax filings.
Assists in preparation of annual and quarterly
income tax provisions for domestic and foreign
sites.
Independently researches various Federal and
State tax issues as needed
Assists with special projects including
Federal and State tax audits.
Researches various federal and state tax
issues, as needed
The positions reports to a Manager of Tax.
Job Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year
College or University in Accounting or Finance
and a minimum of five years related tax
experience within a publicly traded company
and/or Corporate headquarters environment
desired.
The ideal candidate will also have knowledge
and experience in Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404
with respect to the tax process.
Strong interpersonal skills to interface
within the organization with all levels of
management as projects warrants.
Solid knowledge of Excel is required; ERP
systems and CorpTax experience is a plus
